Azari Minter
Azari Minter grew up in Portland, Maine, and received a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2019. Minter works primarily in 3D modeling as well as illustration in pencil and charcoal. He is particularly interested in the intersection of nature, fantasy, and science fiction. Azari Minter’s style is semi-realistic and often uses a color palette of neutrals with color used to highlight a focal point. Minter is inspired by technology, built environments and their influence on the natural world. Exploring environments from ancient history, science fiction and fantasy realms. He also enjoys creating drawings inspired by entomology and botany.
Minter is currently working in MAYA, Unreal Engine and Zbrush for 3D asset creation, he built a medieval village depicting external features of the architecture and it’s interiors situated in a surrounding landscape. Starting with inspiration from his memory of travels to the United Kingdom and France, he is developing the design using references from his visual library of extensive research.
